Agronomy

This specialization covers growing field crops well: crop production practice for cereals, pulses, oilseeds, fibre and fodder crops, cropping systems, rotation and intercropping, tillage and seedbed preparation, sowing time and geometry, irrigation scheduling and water use efficiency, integrated nutrient management, and weed control. Field experimentation and its statistical design underlie the recommendations rather than sitting beside them.
