This specialization covers emissions to the atmosphere and their abatement: pollutant classes and their sources, meteorology and atmospheric dispersion modelling, stack design, and the control technologies -- cyclones, electrostatic precipitators, fabric filters, wet scrubbers, catalytic converters and adsorption beds. Expect ambient and source monitoring methods and the compliance framework administered by the CPCB and the state boards.
