Polymer Engineering

This specialization covers producing and shaping polymers at scale: polymerisation reactor design and reaction engineering, molecular weight control, rheology and melt flow behaviour, compounding with fillers, plasticisers and stabilisers, and the processing routes -- extrusion, injection and blow moulding, calendering and film forming. Product and mould design, characterisation and testing, and degradation and recycling complete it.
