Community Nursing

This specialization covers nursing delivered outside hospital, in homes and neighbourhoods: home visiting and family health assessment, maternal and child health and antenatal care, immunisation, family planning and reproductive health counselling, nutrition education, communicable disease surveillance and control, and non-communicable disease screening. Expect the structure of India's primary health system and the national health programmes to be studied as the working context.
